Lecture Course: Cohomology and Integration

This mini-course will be delivered by Clément Dupont from the Université de Montpellier at the Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in the Sciences (MPI MiS) in Leipzig. The sessions will take place on February 10, 12, and 14, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 AM (CET).

The course offers a gentle introduction, requiring only a basic familiarity with the terms in its title. Clément Dupont will explore the rich structures found in the cohomology groups of algebraic varieties and demonstrate their application in studying integrals.

Depending on the audience's interests, the following topics (and potentially more) will be covered:

  • Periods;
  • Mixed Hodge theory;
  • Positive geometries and canonical forms;
  • Single-valued integration;
  • Algebraic Mellin transforms and twisted cohomology;
  • Regularization of divergent integrals;
  • Motives, the motivic coaction, and symbols

Visitors to Leipzig are warmly invited to attend.
