Since its inception, Daniel has played a central role in shaping the scientific vision of UNIVERSE+, helping to build a unique collaboration at the intersection of mathematics, particle physics, and cosmology. His research has significantly advanced our understanding of the early universe, inflation, and the connections between cosmology and fundamental physics.
As part of his move to Cambridge, Daniel is stepping down from his formal role as Principal Investigator of the ERC Synergy Grant. However, his commitment to UNIVERSE+ remains unchanged. He will continue to participate in scientific discussions, mentor early-career researchers, and support his team's activities at the University of Amsterdam.
Daniel's appointment strengthens the international network of institutions connected through UNIVERSE+, expanding the collaboration that unites researchers from some of the world's leading institutions in mathematics, particle physics, and cosmology.
We congratulate Daniel on this prestigious appointment and look forward to continuing our collaboration in the years ahead.
