Part of the workshop poster "Positive Geometry in Scattering Amplitudes and Cosmological Correlators"

Workshop at the ICTS in Bangalore

The UNIVERSE+ Principal Investigators Johannes Henn and Nima Arkani-Hamed, together with our close collaborators Jaroslav Trnka and Suvrat Raju are organizing the workshop “Positive Geometry in Scattering Amplitudes and Cosmological Correlators” at the International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) in Bangalore, India. From February 10 to 21, 2025, experts in the mathematical aspects of scattering amplitudes and cosmology will convene to explore and advance the connections between particle physics and geometry.

Over the past few decades, there have been significant insights in understanding the structure of perturbative on-shell scattering amplitudes. These include unitarity methods, recursion relations, worldsheet models, bootstrap techniques, and, more recently, intriguing connections to positive geometry, the positive Grassmannian, the Associahedron, and the Amplituhedron. Collectively, these advances bring us closer to a potential reformulation of the perturbative S-matrix based on entirely new principles. At the same time, similar remarkable structures have been observed in cosmological correlators, which are fundamental objects capturing the physics of our Universe.

This workshop is part of the scientific focus of the UNIVERSE+ project but is not financially supported by the grant. Applications are open until December 31.
